The Only Man Who Will Take the Fight Against Benn

British welterweight Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) has disclosed who is ready to take him on in the ring. According to him, it's the former eight-division world champion from the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao (62-8-2, 38 KOs).

"There's nothing to announce yet, but we're all here (in Saudi Arabia), our teams, managers, trainers. We're all here to make this fight happen. This is our plan, we want mega fights, the fans want mega fights. This is the fight the public wants, so I'll give it to them.

The only person who seems willing to take the fight against me is Pacquiao. I'm not sure if it's because of my last two performances, where I didn't knock out my opponents, but it seems to have worked in my favor if he's accepted the fight.

It's surreal, I've watched his fights, so he's genuinely an idol among opponents for me. I looked him in the eye and thought, 'Damn, that's Manny Pacquiao.' I can't say anything, he's the greatest of all time," said Benn.

On the eve of the Joshua-Ngannou fight, the boxers engaged in a stare down. The teams hinted that negotiations regarding the Benn-Pacquiao fight would be pursued, with the bout potentially taking place in Saudi Arabia.

Manny hasn't fought since August 2021, when he lost to Yordenis Ugas by a decision. Benn won against Peter Dobson by unanimous decision in February 2024.
