Benavidez Teases Possible Fight Month Against Canelo

Today, March 21st, the "interim" WBC super middleweight champion David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs) left a comment on Instagram suggesting he is still confident that his fight against the undisputed super middleweight world champion, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs), will take place in September.

"Just wait. Don't be surprised if this fight happens in September," wrote Benavidez.

Canelo and Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs) are set to meet on May 4th in Las Vegas, USA.

Preliminary information indicates that David Benavidez will face Ukrainian Oleksandr Gvozdyk (20-1, 16 KOs) in his next fight.
