"Interim" WBC champion in the super middleweight division (up to 76,2 kg) David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs) commented on the upcoming fight between Mexican absolute world champion in the same division Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) and fellow countryman Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs).
"Can Jaime win? I think so. It will be a tough fight for Canelo. Munguia is a strong fighter and a skillful puncher. Remember all the guys who have given Canelo problems. Their style was similar to Munguia's.
The only thing Jaime should do is keep the distance. He can't fight close up because that's where Canelo is strong. Alvarez likes to hit the body. Therefore, he needs to keep as far away as possible, throw combinations, and move laterally," said Benavidez.
The fight between Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia is set for May 4th in Las Vegas, USA.
