Interim WBC Super Middleweight Champion David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs) has shared that negotiations are underway for his next major bout. His potential opponent could be the Cuban fighter David Morrell (11-0, 9 KOs).
"I'm preparing something grand for my next fight. Stay tuned. If everything goes well and he agrees, my next opponent will be Morrell," said Benavidez.
Benavidez last fought on June 16, when he defeated Oleksandr Gvozdyk by decision. Morrell, on the other hand, last stepped into the ring on August 3, outboxing Radivoje Kalajdzic by decision.
