Benavidez: "I Definitely Know How Gvozdyk Fights"

American boxer David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs) commented on his upcoming fight against Ukrainian Oleksandr Gvozdyk (20-1, 16 KOs).

"I am very excited to move up to the light heavyweight division to compete with the best fighters in this category. I have been eyeing this weight class for a long time and now feel it's my time. I am going to unify the division.

I've been watching Gvozdyk for a long time – I definitely know how he fights. In fact, I sparred with him when I was 20 years old, and I know he's a really tough opponent, so I need to be 100% ready. It's a tough fight, but I will make it look easy," said Benavidez.

The fight for the WBC interim light heavyweight title between David Benavidez and Oleksandr Gvozdyk is set for June 15 in Las Vegas, USA.
