Benavidez Picks Favorite in Canelo – Crawford Fight: "If Anyone Wins, It Will Be Him"

Interim WBC Light Heavyweight Champion David Benavidez believes that Terence Crawford is the one who could defeat Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, if such a fight were to happen.

“It’s a good fight. I can’t say anything bad about either of them. Crawford is an excellent boxer, let that fight happen.

Terence is moving up two weight classes, but Crawford is Crawford. If anyone is going to beat Canelo, it’s him.

I don’t think Crawford will move up to light heavyweight to fight me, 168 pounds is his maximum. I’m not going back to super middleweight,” said Benavidez.

Benavidez’s next fight will take place on February 1. You can find detailed statistics for his fight against Morrell here.

It was previously reported that the likely date for the Canelo – Crawford fight is September 13.
