British light heavyweight (up to 79.4 kg) boxer Ben Whittaker (7-0, 5 KOs) has received his next opponent. It was previously announced that the Brit would return on the undercard of Billam-Smith vs. Riakporhe.
Whittaker will face 28-year-old Nigerian Ezra Arenyeka (12-0, 10 KOs). The vacant WBA Gold title will be at stake.
The boxing night will take place on June 15th in London.
Ben Whittaker is a Tokyo 2020 silver medalist who debuted in the professional ranks in July 2022. In the Olympic final, the Brit lost to Cuban Arlen Lopez by split decision.
Whittaker's previous pro fight was in late March, where he defeated Leon Willings (7-2, 2 KOs). In October 2023, Arenyeka overcame Victor Barrios (8-8, 6 KOs).
