Bellew: «Judges Overshadowed Catterall’s Moment»

Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew reacted to Jack Catterall’s (29-1, 13 KOs) victory in the rematch against Josh Taylor (19-2, 13 KOs). He believes the judges somewhat spoiled the feeling of the result.

«The judges somewhat overshadowed the moment for Catterall. For me, it was a very close fight. Twice 117-111 – that’s a disgrace.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. Just because a mistake was made against Catterall two years ago, it doesn’t mean it should be done to Taylor tonight,» said Bellew.

In the first fight between Taylor and Catterall, Josh won, but many believed Jack should have won. This time, the judges scored the fight in favor of Catterall with scores of 117-111 twice and 116-113.
