Former cruiserweight world champion (up to 90.7 kg) Tony Bellew revealed that he could have made a return to boxing in a title fight. According to Bellew, he could have fought WBC bridgerweight champion, the Polish fighter Lukasz Rozanski (15-0, 14 KOs).
"I kind of agreed, but it looks like it's not going to happen. I thought about coming back for one night only for Rozanski, but it seems to have fallen through. It was just for one night, and maybe I could have done it on my own terms," said Bellew.
Rozanski became champion after defeating Alen Babic (11-1, 10 KOs) by technical knockout in the first round. Bellew is now 41 years old. He has not fought since his knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk in 2018.
