Former trainer of the undisputed heavyweight champion, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs), James Ali Bashir, expressed his thoughts following Usyk's victory over Tyson Fury. Bashir is puzzled about who can provide a real challenge for Usyk.
«I don’t see anyone capable of beating Usyk because they must know how to box. You can’t knock out Oleksandr with a single punch. To win against him, you have to be able to box.
How many people can box with him? How much longer will Usyk stay in boxing, only God knows. Personally, I would advise him to try for one more fight against Fury, and then retire. There’s nothing left to prove,» said Bashir.
Usyk defeated Fury in a bout for the undisputed championship on the night of May 19. This victory earned Oleksandr the status of a two-time undisputed champion.
