The founder of the Matchroom Boxing promotion company Barry Gearn spoke about the future plans of ex-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
"He is at a crossroads in his career, Anthony cannot afford another defeat."
"Now Joshua prefers to fight Dillian Whyte. But the fight we all want to see in the end is AJ vs. Fury. This fight has to happen and I think it will happen at the end of 2023."
Joshua wants to enter the ring in the next fight with Dillian Whyte. AJ defeated Dillian in 2015, who then suffered the first loss of his professional career. After the fight, Joshua said he was ready to give White a rematch.
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury said he is ready to fight Joshua for free. We will remind that the Gypsy King offered AJ to enter the ring on December 3. However, the parties did not agree on the financial aspects of the fight.
We will remind you that in his last fight in August, Joshua lost by split decision to the Ukrainian boxer, the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
