Barbosa secures early victory - is now a contender for Teofimo Lopez

On the night of January 6th to 7th in Las Vegas, USA, American Arnold Barbosa (20-0, 11 KOs) achieved an early victory over African Xolisani Ndongeni (31-4, 18 KOs). Barbosa was more accurate throughout the entire fight and took control of the initiative. During the break between the 8th and 9th rounds, Ndongeni's corner decided not to let the fighter continue.

This marks Barbosa's first early victory since 2019 when he won against William Silva by knockout in the fifth round. Arnold is now a mandatory contender for the WBO title in the lightweight division (up to 63.5 kg), currently held by Teofimo Lopez.
