Heavyweight contender Martin Bakole has disclosed the impressive amount he received while serving as a sparring partner for Oleksandr Usyk, the current unified heavyweight champion.
“I’ve reached a level where Oleksandr Usyk paid me £25,000 a week for sparring,” said Bakole in a recent interview.
The Congolese fighter has built a reputation as one of the top sparring partners in the heavyweight division, previously helping numerous elite fighters prepare for world title bouts.
Bakole is now preparing to face Nigerian heavyweight Efe Ajagba in his next fight, following a tough second-round knockout loss to Joseph Parker earlier this year.
