Congolese heavyweight Martin Bakole has expressed his desire to face WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in the ring.
"Hulka hasn't won yet. The bout with Shevadzutsky is a serious test. Martin aims to deliver an explosive performance," said Bakole's promoter Ben Shalom.
“He needs to stop him in six rounds, I think. He'll want to show how explosive he can be."
""If he puts on a statement then everything opens up for him. He wants Daniel Dubois for the Interim [or regular] title with the WBA. He wants to fight Oleksandr Usyk. That would be the aim," Shalom added.
Bakole's last match was in May 2022, where he defeated Tony Yoka by majority decision. Additionally, the Congolese boxer served as Oleksandr Usyk's sparring partner on two occasions prior to Usyk's bouts with Anthony Joshua.
On April 22, Bakole is set to face Ukrainian Ihor Shevadzutsky in Rzeszów, Poland, as part of a Boxxer and Knockout Promotions event.
