Boxxer promoter Ben Shalom revealed that his client Martin Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs) could make his ring return on the undercard of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, scheduled for December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“We’re hoping to announce a big fight in December. Hopefully, it will be on the undercard of the Usyk-Fury rematch in Saudi Arabia on December 21.
Will it be Zhang Zhilei? I don’t want to say too much. Let’s see what happens. It’s been a whirlwind for Martin. We had to be very patient. In my opinion, he’s the most avoided opponent in the division. He’s the guy nobody wants to fight.
Riyadh Season has made impossible fights possible. Thank God the fight against Anderson happened. It was a statement victory on a big stage. We knew it was coming, but that night he made a statement to the world. I believe he can beat anyone in the division,” said Shalom.
In August, Bakole fought in the U.S. for the first time, knocking out the previously undefeated top prospect Jared Anderson (17-1, 15 KOs).
