The heavyweight showdown between Martin Bakole (21-2, 16 KOs) and Efe Ajagba (20-1, 14 KOs) remains on track, despite Bakole’s recent knockout loss.
However, the fight will no longer serve as an IBF title eliminator, as initially planned.
The IBF belt is currently held by Daniel Dubois, and the organization has decided to assign a different eliminator to determine the next mandatory challenger.
Bakole suffered a KO loss to Joseph Parker in his last fight, which he took on just two days’ notice after stepping in as a replacement for Dubois.
