Atlas Questions Tyson's Legacy: Was He Really Boxing's Best?

American trainer Teddy Atlas weighed in on Mike Tyson's boxing prowess:

"I'm not sure Tyson was an outstanding boxer. He was sensational, sure. Maybe it's the best mix of speed and power in the ring. His right punch rivaled the likes of Shavers, Wilder. And that left hand? Maybe on par with Joe Louis and a select few.

This blend of speed and power at such a raw level is rare. We might never see what it is like that again. The night Tyson took down Spinks in 90 seconds? That looked like the greatest boxer ever.

But a great fighter isn't just about exploiting opponents' weaknesses. The truly outstanding ones are strong without needing that crutch. Sometimes Tyson's bouts seemed like a monster truck versus a Volkswagen - sheer power overriding everything. But being exceptional means finding a way to win when just talent isn't enough. Tyson faced that test six times and couldn't rise to it," said Atlas.

And now, you've got a shot to witness a truly outstanding battle - the first fight for the absolute heavyweight championship since 1999. Join our contest, and you could be there, on us!
