Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has expressed his desire to stage a welterweight unification bout between WBO champion Brian Norman Jr. and WBC titleholder Mario Barrios.
The fight would serve as a crucial step toward crowning an undisputed champion at 147 lbs, with the winner potentially earning a shot at the victor of the upcoming unification clash between Jaron Ennis and Eimantas Stanionis.
Norman last fought on March 29, scoring a third-round knockout over Derrieck Cuevas. Barrios, meanwhile, fought Abel Ramos to a draw in November 2024.
The high-stakes Ennis vs. Stanionis showdown is set for April 12. Detailed statistics of the fight are at this link.
