Arum Sets Date for Anticipated Stevenson vs. Sepeda Bout

Bob Arum, the head of Top Rank promotion company, has responded to the challenge issued by his company's fighter, Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs), to Mexican boxer William Sepeda (30-0, 26 KOs). He expressed his readiness to arrange such a showdown. "Let Oscar De La Hoya call me, and I'll schedule this fight for July. We have a date, July 6th, and the Prudential Center is booked. Of course, we'd consider it," Arum conveyed to BoxingScene.

On the night of March 17th in Las Vegas, Sepeda triumphed over Maxi Hughes after Hughes' team refused to let him continue post the 4th round. Following this victory, both Sepeda and his promoter Oscar De La Hoya declared their readiness to face off against Shakur.

Stevenson, the WBC champion in the lightweight division (up to 61.2 kg), affirmed his willingness to take on the challenge.
