Arum Lists Options After Usyk-Fury Fight

In an interview with Mail Sport, Bob Arum, founder and head of Top Rank, discussed various scenarios following the fight for the undisputed heavyweight world championship between holders of the WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).

"What happens if Fury vs. Usyk turns out to be a classic? The fight will be so exciting and engaging that the audience will want to see it again. Then, it will undoubtedly outweigh a fight against Joshua, and by contract, this is the fight that should take place.

What happens if it’s a one-sided fight and Fury wins? Then, perhaps, everyone can sit down with His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh and agree to organize a Fury vs. Joshua fight.

If Usyk wins, I don’t think there will be a big demand for Usyk vs. Joshua because, after all, they fought twice, and Usyk won both times. So, one fight at a time, that's my motto," said Arum.

The fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is scheduled for May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
