In the Ring of Negotiation: Arum Sets Stage for Shakur-Gervonta

Bob Arum, the big shot at Top Rank, has laid out the terms for a blockbuster bout between WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson and WBA titlist Gervonta Davis. "Shakur's itching for the bout. It's not about Al Haymon or anyone else pulling the strings — Gervonta needs to step up to the plate," declared Arum.

He went on to say, "Davis put on a show against Ryan. Sure, a tango with Shakur might be a tougher gig and not pad the wallet as much since Garcia's got the social media megaphone. But, hey, that's not throwing shade at Ryan; it's tipping the hat to what he brings to the fight game. Nevertheless, this is about the sweet science, not the hype," as reported by FightHub TV.

Previously, Eddie Hearn mentioned he's willing to throw his hat in the ring and table an offer for Gervonta to square off with Conor Benn.
