Arum Confirms Shakur's Return

Top Rank's head, Bob Arum, has confirmed the boxing return of his client, the WBC lightweight champion (up to 61.2 kg) Shakur Stevenson (21-0, 10 KOs).

"I spoke to his team during the fight on Thursday night. Shakur is planning to fight in June, and we need to find him an opponent," said Arum.

It's worth noting that Shakur last entered the ring in November 2023, defeating De Los Santos and claiming the WBC title. In January 2024, the 26-year-old American announced his retirement. However, he has today stated that he has changed his decision.
