Arum assures Fury will be ready by May 18th

Bob Arum, co-promoter of WBC heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) world champion Tyson Fury (34-0, 24 KOs), is confident that his client will be ready to fight for the undisputed title against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) on May 18th.

"The cut isn't too deep. He only needed 11 stitches. Usually, if it's a deep cut, they'll put in 20-30 stitches. Tyson believes he'll need about a month, then he'll be able to return to sparring.

I think he'll bounce back quickly and take advantage of this opportunity. Remember what happened in the fight with Wallin. That was a really deep wound. Fury didn't need much time to recover then," Arum said.

The bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk was postponed from February 17th to May 18th due to the fact that British fighter's got injured in sparring.
