Albert Low, President of the Association of Professional Boxing Commissions (APBC), has publicly spoken out against the proposed update to the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act being pushed by Dana White and Turki Al Al-Sheikh.
“It’s clear that the APBC members and board are united in their opposition to this disgraceful legislation, which effectively dismantles all the progress made by the original Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act that protected fighters from unethical managers and promoters.
We must learn from past mistakes. We must not allow this shameful law to take effect, or boxers could face exploitation, one-sided contracts, and a lack of transparency in payouts — the kind of risks that arise when a single company dominates the market,” said the APBC president.
