Anthony Cacace to Vacate IBF Title

Boxing Scene journalist Lance Pugmire has reported that IBF and IBO super featherweight champion Anthony Cacace will vacate his IBF title.

The decision paves the way for a fight against former featherweight champion Leigh Wood.

Pugmire also noted that the vacant belt will be contested by Eduardo Nunez (27-1, 27 KOs) and Masanori Rikiishi (16-1, 11 KOs).

In his last fight, Cacace outboxed Josh Warrington. Wood also faced Warrington in their previous encounter, knocking him out in the 7th round in a bout that took place in 2023.
