31-year-old American IBF featherweight champion Angelo Leo will make a mandatory defense of his title against the division’s No. 1 contender Ra’eese Aleem, BoxingScene reports.
This decision has led to the postponement of a planned voluntary defense against Lerato Dlamini, which was scheduled for 21 February.
Angelo Leo (26-1, 12 KOs) last fought in May against Tomoki Kameda, winning by majority decision.
On 24 November, Ra’eese Aleem (23-1, 12 KOs) defeated Mikito Nakano via unanimous decision.
