Andy Lee on the Best in Heavyweight: “Usyk, and then Parker”

Andy Lee, trainer of WBO Interim Heavyweight champion Joseph Parker, has named who he considers the top fighters in the heavyweight division right now.

“In my opinion, the best heavyweights in the world right now are Usyk — who absolutely has to be first — and then Joseph.

Forget all the noise, the records, who beat who and when — if you look at what they are actually doing in the ring, the ones at the top right now are Usyk and Joseph,” said Lee.

On October 25, Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs) will face Fabio Wardley, the WBA Interim Heavyweight champion, at the O2 Arena in London. The WBO has mandated Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) to defend his undisputed title against the winner.
