Andre Ward thought about returning to fight Canelo

Former world champion American Andre Ward has unexpectedly announced a possible return. He says it would be interesting to meet Saul Alvarez in the ring. 

- My name was never mentioned next to Canelo until he fought Kovalev. The only problem I have is when we start remembering his name along with the great fighters of all time.

- Have you thought about resuming your career through a fight with Canelo?

- Yes, sure. I was born to compete,” Ward said in a conversation with Steven A. Smith.

Ward is 39 years old. He has not boxed since 2017, when he defeated Sergey Kovalev by TKO and retired with a record of 32-0, 16 KOs.
