Andre Ward, the celebrated former world champ from the U.S., recently showered praises on Devin Haney, tipping him as a potential boxing legend.
Ward's nod to Haney isn't just a pat on the back. It’s it's a heavyweight compliment in the ring of boxing opinions. He commented, "Haney's ticket sales for his bout against Prograis are through the roof. That night's going to pack a punch. Devin's up against Prograis, a real bruiser, and I've a ton of respect for him. Prograis is no pushover and this matchup? I'm all in to see it."
Ward didn't hold back on his high hopes for Haney, saying, "This kid could very well be a future legend. He's got the chops, the right mix to make history. But it's a long road. The young guns in the game – Shakur, Gervonta, Haney – must prove they're more than just hype. They've got the skills, no doubt. I've seen enough to bet on all three."
Mark your calendars for Dec. 9, when Haney squares off against Regis Prograis for the WBC bantamweight title, a clash of titans in the 63.5 kg class.
