Ex‑Champion on Sheeraz: “I Can Beat Him”

Former two‑division world champion Demetrius Andrade believes he has what it takes to defeat Britain’s Hamzah Sheeraz.

He looked pretty good against Berlanga, but we all know Edgar isn’t elite‑level. Everyone understands that.

I bring a lot more to the table than Edgar — I’m a two‑weight world champion.

I’d just like one tune‑up to shake off the rust. It’s been a while since my last fight, but one warm‑up is all I need. After that, I’m ready for Sheeraz. He’s a good fighter, but I can beat him,” Andrade said.

Demetrius Andrade (32‑1, 19 KOs) hasn’t fought since 2023, when he lost to David Benavidez. Hamzah Sheeraz (22‑0‑1, 18 KOs) made his super‑middleweight debut with a knockout win over Edgar Berlanga.
