Anderson Set to Face Wilder

Turki Al al-Sheikh, head of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, has announced that promising American heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) boxer Jared Anderson (17-0, 15 KOs) may receive the biggest fight of his career.

According to Turki, Jared could face former champion Deontay Wilder (43-3-1, 42 KOs) on August 3rd in Los Angeles, USA, provided that the "Bronze Bomber" comes out of his upcoming fight against Chinese boxer Zhang Zhilei (26-2-1, 21 KOs) unscathed.

"Talented Jared Anderson joins us at the Riyadh Season series on August 3rd in Los Angeles against 'Bronze Bomber' Deontay Wilder—provided he is ready to fight after a tough battle on June 1st against Zhang Zhilei.

I've always believed that boxing will be at the peak of popularity when we have young and talented American heavyweights like Jared Anderson. I believe in his talent and promising future. My advice to him: focus on your future, training, and dedication to the sport, and you will achieve your goals.

I am pleased to work again with Top Rank. The Riyadh Season tournament, which will take place on August 3rd in Los Angeles, will be a unique event," Turki Al al-Sheikh stated.

On April 13th, Jared Anderson won a unanimous decision over Belgian Riad Merhy (32-3, 26 KOs).

The bout between Deontay Wilder and Zhang Zhilei is scheduled for June 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
