According to insider Mike Coppinger, citing ESPN sources, American heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) prospect Jared Anderson (16-0, 15 KOs) is set to box against the former WBA cruiseweight (up to 90, 7) champion Riad Merhy (32-2, 26 KOs). The bout is scheduled for April 13th in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA.
Anderson last fought in August against Ukrainian Andriy Rudenko (36-7, 22 KOs) and won by technical knockout in the 5th round. In December, Merhy secured a decision victory over Frenchman Tony Yoka (11-3, 9 KOs).
