Anber: "Usyk is Up There with Tyson and Lewis"

Cutman for the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Ready To Fight ambassador Russ Anber commented on the Ukrainian's victory over Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).

"For this generation, Usyk is undoubtedly one of the greatest boxers of all time. He's right up there with Tyson and Lewis. If you include Holyfield on that list, you have to include Usyk. I don't care where you place Usyk in that list, but as a person, he is definitely one of the greatest of all time.

Coach Yuriy Tkachenko, although serious, was smiling at me. I don't know if you saw the press conference where Usyk made fun of me and Yuriy, calling us 'squeezers'—people who constantly give him instructions. I'm glad to be on the same wavelength with Yuriy. Together, we put together the performance and game plan we wanted, and Usyk executed it perfectly. Yuriy was very emotional after the fight. He got down on his knees in the corner and cried because he was genuinely happy with this achievement and victory," said Anber.

The fight between Usyk and Fury lasted all 12 rounds and ended with a split decision victory for the Ukrainian. Oleksandr Usyk is the first undisputed heavyweight champion since November 13, 1999, when Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in their rematch.
