American Trainer Urges Oleksandr Usyk to Retire

American trainer and analyst Teddy Atlas believes that two-time undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk should retire from professional boxing.

"If I were Usyk, I’d say, 'I’m riding off into the sunset.' It’s perfect. You’ve fought everyone, made a ton of money, done everything you could, represented your country—just go.

But that’s not going to happen. For various reasons. We know one thing for sure—he’s a great fighter, one of the best. He’s the heavyweight world champion," said Atlas.

In 2024, Usyk had two bouts—defeating Tyson Fury twice by unanimous decision. After the rematch, Oleksandr mentioned that he might do even more.
