Undisputed super middleweight champion Saul Alvarez still wants to fight WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“It's hard, but I don't care. I love such challenges. I do not care. I know it will be difficult, but I love boxing, I love being in these situations,” said Saul in an interview with the Fight Hub TV YouTube channel.
Alvarez will next enter the ring against Kazakh athlete Gennady Golovkin as part of a trilogy to be held on the night of September 18 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (USA).
Alvarez and Golovkin first met in the ring in September 2017. This confrontation ended in a draw by a split decision of the judges. The second fight between Saul and Gennady took place in September 2018. This time, the Mexican boxer was able to defeat his opponent by a majority decision.
