Absolute world champion in second middleweight Saul Alvarez announced his plans for the near future.
According to the Mexican, he wants to hold an intermediate fight in May, after which he intends to meet in a rematch with Dmitry Bivol.
"My plan now is to come back in May. I'm going to resume training in January and assess my health.
I want to come back in May with an intermediate fight to see my condition. And then a rematch with Bivol in September. This is the only thing I want now in my career.
Let's see how Benavidez's fight with Plant ends. A very competitive match. I think Benavides will win. But I'm focused on the rematch with Bivol," ESPN quoted Alvarez as saying.
