32-year-old British boxer David Allen (22-6-2, 18 KOs) made a comeback after his stoppage loss to Frazer Clarke (8-0-1, 6 KOs). On the night of April 7 in Sheffield, United Kingdom, Allen won a decision in a 4-round bout against Jack Darnell (2-26, 0 KOs).
Allen shared that he did it for free:
"For those asking if I box for money. Tonight, I boxed for free because I love it and because I wanted to see if there was anything left in me.
I could have made big money if I had agreed to the recently discussed fights, but I chose to box for free for satisfaction and to keep healthy," – Allen posted on his Instagram.
Allen has been a sparring partner for Oleksandr Usyk, fought against Tony Yoka, Luis Ortiz, Dillian Whyte, and many others.
