WBO and IBF middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhanuly (15-0, 10 KOs) and EBU champion Hamzah Sheeraz (21-0, 17 KOs) have not reached a preliminary agreement for their bout, leading to a purse bid, as announced by WBO President Gustavo Olivieri.
It appears that the Alimkhanuly vs. Sheeraz fight may take place on February 22, coinciding with the likely date for IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois' next match. Additionally, Martin Bakole and Agit Kabayel are expected to feature on Dubois' undercard.
In their previous outings, Sheeraz secured a knockout victory over Tyler Denny, while Alimkhanuly defended his titles with a technical knockout against New Zealander Andrey Mikhailovich.
