Alexander Krassyuk, promoter of WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs), shared his thoughts on former world champion Tyson Fury's (34-2-1, 24 KOs) decision to retire from professional boxing.
"I believe this is the seventh time Fury has announced his retirement—at least according to my personal count. I’d say it's 50/50—he might be serious, but I can't be certain that he's truly done with boxing. That’s just my opinion, my gut feeling.
I can still picture him stepping back into the ring. The reason could be money or something else that piques his interest. Look, Fury is a champion, a great fighter, and a beloved figure in the boxing world. Why would he walk away? I think that after six or seven months of rest, he might change his mind," said Krassyuk.
In 2024, Tyson Fury suffered two consecutive defeats against Oleksandr Usyk before announcing his retirement.
