Within the next three days, a unification fight between WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO titleholder Oleksandr Usyk and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could be on the cards, as promoter Alex Krassyuk has unveiled the necessary terms for the showdown.
"We have a good chance to conclude an agreement. I’m very optimistic. The only one who can hurt this fight is Fury. Usyk is very flexible, money has never been the main thing for him. He knows that with success in the ring comes money. I'm only worried about Tyson's attitude."
“If Fury is afraid of losing his popularity and his current status (and against Usyk he has a good chance of losing them), then he may insist on a larger fee to justify his risk. Perhaps, for him, this is the most risky match in his career. But deep down I believe that he has the heart of a warrior, he will accept the conditions and not go around in circles. In that case, we’ll be able to arrange this fight within the next three days."
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to go head-to-head in a bid for the undisputed world championship on April 29th at Wembley Stadium in London. WFury's promoters are keen for the fight to take place in the UK capital, as the proposed venue in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia will not be completed in time for the scheduled date.
