Alex Krassyuk: Much ado about nothing

Alex Krassyuk, promoter of WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, commented on the expectation of a contract for a unification fight with WBC title holder Tyson Fury. The British side has not yet signed the agreement.

"Much ado about nothing... the rat race and monkey business," the promoter wrote.

Recall that Usyk agreed to Fury's proposal to divide the fee 70/30, with the condition that the Brit donates one million pounds to Ukraine immediately after the fight. The title bout to determine the absolute world champion is set for April 29th at Wembley Stadium.

Reports stated that Fury proposed to Usyk that they omit a rematch clause in their unification fight contract. The Ukrainian urged Tyson to sign the contract as is, since it was Fury's team who first suggested the possibility of a rematch. Promoter Alex Krassyuk implied that Fury was avoiding the fight.

Fury has already initiated his training camp to prepare for his match with Usyk and has declared his temporary departure from social media during his training. Usyk is also actively preparing for the fight.
