Agit Kabayel: “Maybe Turki will set up a fight with Usyk”

The interim WBC heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel (26‑0, 18 KOs) shared his reaction to Oleksandr Usyk’s knockout of Daniel Dubois at Wembley:

Usyk is a great boxer. He did everything perfectly and stopped his opponent—that’s heavyweight boxing. I expected Daniel Dubois to press him in the first three or four rounds, but Usyk is smart. He launched a brilliant counter and you saw the result.

A fight with Usyk? I’m not one for talking, but for the fans and everyone who loves boxing, that’s the best matchup: two undefeated guys. He’s number one in the world, I’m number four in The Ring ratings. Why not? I’m 26‑0, he’s 24‑0. Let’s go! Maybe Turki Alalsheikh will arrange it. I’m ready,” Kabayel told Queensberry.

In February, Agit Kabayel knocked out Zhilei Zhang in the sixth round.

On 19 July, Oleksandr Usyk (24‑0, 15 KOs) stopped Daniel Dubois (22‑3, 21 KOs) in round five to capture the undisputed heavyweight crown (over 90.7 kg). Detailed statistics of the bout are available via the link.
