African Country Offers Hearn Venue for Joshua Fight

Matchroom Boxing chief Eddie Hearn has revealed where his client Anthony Joshua could potentially fight next.

Well, I haven’t spoken to Ezekiel Adam (CEO of Balmoral Promotions). I’m sure he’s spoken to someone who knows AJ, but not to me. If they want to make an offer, we’re ready to consider it, and my phone number is easy to find.

But at this moment, we haven’t had talks with Nigeria, although we did visit Accra, Ghana, and they made an offer. We are very interested in going there at the start of 2026. I think it would be incredible, but we are also open to Nigeria.

Ghana is currently just one of three locations that have made offers. We could even fight in the UK. Of course, we also have opportunities in the Middle East and the Far East. But Joshua will definitely fight in the first quarter of 2026,” Hearn said.

At the moment, Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), age 35, has not fought since his loss to Daniel Dubois.
