Egis Klimas , manager of WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), commented on the preparations for the Ukrainian's possible fight with WBC champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs).
"Everything is done from our side. Absolutely everything. All that remains is for one person to say: "Yes, we are ready." This is Fury.”
After his victory over Anthony Joshua, Usyk challenged Fury to a fight. Soon, the Ukrainian said that holding a fight with Tyson this year is impossible.
Usyk's manager Egis Klimas said that there is an opportunity to hold a fight with Fury in February 2023. Usyk himself said that the fight with Fury could take place in early February or early March in Saudi Arabia.
Promoter Frank Warren said that the Ukrainian will be Fury's next opponent after the Briton's fight with Derek Chisora, which is scheduled for December 3. Tyson himself said that he will have three fights in 2023, one of them with Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
