“He Quit.” Adeleye Criticizes Dubois After Usyk Bout

British Heavyweight David Adeleye shared his thoughts on the fight between undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. Adeleye also made it clear he wants to face Dubois in the ring.

“He tried, and then he quit. That’s my opinion. As soon as he realized things weren’t going his way, he broke down a little.

I want to be in another big fight where people think I’m taking too much of a risk — because that’s when I can prove I’m ready for this level. I’m not the type to turn down those fights.

I’ve sparred him [Dubois] many times, so he knows exactly what to expect from me in the ring. It would be interesting to watch our sparring sessions from the outside, but even better would be a real fight. A good fight, a real shootout. The fans would enjoy it. I’m open to any fight and welcome them with open arms. I don’t care who I’m up against,” said Adeleye.

On August 16, David Adeleye (14-2, 13 KOs) lost by unanimous decision to Filip Hrgovic.

On July 19, Daniel Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) suffered a fifth-round knockout defeat in his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
