Adamek Conducts First Fight Since 2018 in MMA Promotion

47-year-old Pole Tomasz Adamek (53-6, 31 KOs) fought against MMA fighter Mamed Khalidov within the show of the Polish organization Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki (KSW), which organizes mixed martial arts tournaments.

The fight was conducted under boxing rules and lasted 3 out of the 6 planned rounds. Adamek won – the native of Chechnya received an injury and could not come out for the 4th round. At the time of the stoppage, the scorecards of two judges were a draw (28-28), and the third had Adamek winning (29-27).

This was Adamek's first fight since 2018. At that time, he lost by knockout in the 2nd round to Jarrell Miller.

Adamek is a world champion in light heavyweight (from 2005 to 2007) and cruiserweight (from 2008 to 2009). In 2011, the Pole faced Vitali Klitschko in the heavyweight division – the Ukrainian won by technical knockout in the 10th round.
