Adam Smith Names Potential Opponents for Usyk in the USA: From Andy Ruiz to Jared Anderson

Oleksandr Usyk

Boxing commentator Adam Smith has named American boxers that the WBC, WBA, and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk might choose as opponents. Previously, the Ukrainian boxer stated he is interested in performing in the American boxing market.

“Andy Ruiz is a dangerous guy. He is one of the fastest fighters in the heavyweight division, especially regarding hand speed. So he would be a good opponent. There is even talk about putting him in with Usyk.

Usyk wants to fight in America, so someone like Andy Ruiz... Of course, Wilder was discussed, but if Wilder fights Chisora...

Wardley vs. Ruiz is also a great fight, really good. Also Ruiz vs. Tyson Fury – there are different fights that can be made. But if Usyk wants to fight in America, he is looking at top Americans. He looks at guys like Wilder, although it looks like Deontay will fight Chisora – that would be a big old-school fight.

There is Andy Ruiz, there is Jared Anderson and others. Jarrell Miller is fighting this weekend, so there are still options for Usyk. But I think he wants to hold his next fight in America,” Smith said.

Currently, the next opponent for Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) is unknown.
