Serhii Lapin, CEO of the team of three-time undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk, revealed who, according to the plan, should become the boxer’s next opponent.
“We have the WBO belt – his first world title. There are rules. We need to discuss this with the team, but according to the plan, the next opponent is Parker.
Will this fight take place outside of Saudi Arabia? We’ll see where we organize it, and what the next step will be,” Lapin said.
Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) knocked out Daniel Dubois in his previous fight. Negotiations for a bout with Joseph Parker were extended with the permission of the WBO.
