Inoue vacated all lightweight titles

The absolute bantamweight champion Naoya Inoue (24-0, 21 KOs) vacated his belts.

The Japanese decided to change the weight category. Naoya plans to hold his next fight in the second lightest weight.

Last December, Inoue, who held the WBC/WBA/IBF belts, defeated WBO champion Paul Butler to become the undisputed bantamweight champion.

The fight took place in Tokyo at the Ariaka Arena. Inoue knocked out Butler in the 11th round. The unification of belts in this category took place for the first time since 1973.
