Abel Sanchez Explains How Garcia Is Better Than Haney

American trainer Abel Sanchez shared his insights on how Ryan Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) surpasses his future opponent Devin Haney (31-0, 15 KOs).

"Ryan is faster than Devin, and he has more power. I don't think Haney will go to the body often – because that would expose him.

He will have to reach out to Ryan, and Garcia is lanky, with pretty long arms. If he reaches out to him, he will put himself in a position where he could get caught.

I think Haney will box more, use an Ali-like style," said Sanchez.

The fight between Garcia and Haney is scheduled for April 20th in the USA. The WBC lightweight title (up to 63.5 kg), currently held by Devin, will be on the line.

The boxers have met before – in amateur boxing. So far, their head-to-head record is 3:3.
